You will be provided a clear, individual career path with full training, support and mentorship to ensure you reach your full potential. At Microlise, there is no limit to the personal and professional development opportunities available.

Acting as a technical expert in Linux operating systems, you will advise as well as lead on the implementation of standards in a software-defined datacentre through projects. Additionally, you will also be part of sprint reviews and demos, product release cycles and reports, to name a few of your responsibilities.

At Microlise we know the importance of a good work/life balance, so offer flexible working opportunities with a low overtime culture; there’s a reason our average length of service is 7+ years! * Analyse, diagnose and rectify complex faults within the operational environment

* Provide advanced technical support for customer systems as required

* Work with vendors to ensure optimal operation of these systems

* Acts as a medium for knowledge transfer between all parties, both internal and external

What we’re looking for:

* Strong experience and knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux within a mixed environment

* Significant automation experience. IaC and GitOps are a core part of our working life.

* Knowledge and understanding of a scripting language such as Bash, Perl or Python

* Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform/OpenTofu to deploy and configure Linux systems

* Working knowledge of using infrastructure management tooling to deploy, secure and manage Linux VMs and servers

* Experience with KVM or a similar hypervisor

* An understanding of the storage and compute hardware that underlies Linux systems
