Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Buyer with a strong background in IT purchasing to manage and optimise the technology procurement process. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT products, services, and market trends. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of negotiating favourable terms and ensuring the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Purchasing: Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT hardware, software, and services to meet organisational needs.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best deals.
Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Cost Management: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing without compromising on quality.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, and operations teams to understand their needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve the procurement.
Experience & Skills:
Experience in IT procurement, with a focus on senior buyer or similar roles.
Knowledge of IT products and services.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
