As a Barclays Senior Infrastructure Engineer Permissions, you will  assit the new digital platform capability, transforming and modernising our digital estate to build a market-leading digital offering with customer experience at its heart. What will you be doing?
• Helping with the design, development and implementation of a centralised secure, scalable and efficient Permissions platform
• Assiting with the creation and maintenance of the technical roadmap for the evolution of the group wide Permissions platform
• Coaching, collaborating and facilitating colleagues and engineers to design and build a resilient platform, following proven and robust practices
• Ensuring the highest levels of platform security and compliance are adhered to 
• Providing feedback and action activities to mature and improve operations and processes within the team and more broadly across the function
• Engaging with partners across the bank and contributing to patterns and practices that support the platform’s Permissions capabilities, demonstrating automation and efficient operation
• Demonstrating hands-on engineering-led leadership to both the team and the wider tech community

What we’re looking for:
• Cloud and on-premises based infrastructure experience, virtual machines, containerisation (Kubernetes). gateways, VPCs, automated deployment scripts 
• Foundational working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering, automation, observability, incident management, resilience, disaster recovery, high availability, documentation
• Experience of high-volume transaction systems, load balanced applications, distributed application implementation
• Knowledge of automated script based deployment and configuration

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in AWS Solution Architecture or DevOps Engineer
• Experience in MS Azure: Solution Architect, Cybersecurity Architect
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins, Chef, Git

Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
