£40,000-£50,000 per annum

A well-established leading environmental consultancy with an established team of experts, is looking for a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to expand their team further. If you are a Senior Hydraulic Modeller who believes they have the developed skills to contribute within this environment, bringing expertise, and innovation to the role, this could be the ideal new opportunity for you.

The successful Senior Hydraulic Modeller will assist in preparing both fluvial and pluvial hydraulic models to support flood risk assessments for developments within the property, renewable energy, and aviation sectors. Working on projects including early strategy development, through to feasibility, outline design, planning submission, and discharge of conditions. You will need to liaise within the water team as well as externally, clearly communicating opportunities and constraints, be able to evaluate flood mitigation options within masterplans, and prepare reports.

Carrying out rewarding work which protects and improves the environmentRequirements for the Senior Hydraulic Modeller:

At least 4 years' experience undertaking hydraulic modelling and preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
Suitable knowledge of the planning system, in particular flood related policy and guidance such as the NPPF.
Experienced in software's including Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW, GIS and AutoCAD.
The capacity to recognise and communicate flood risk related constraints and opportunities at development sites.
Knowledge of liaising with the EA, fully understanding their model review process and modelling requirements.
The full right to work in the UK
A full UK driving licence
Live in or near Reading
