Senior HR Advisor
Sandwich. Kent
£38,000 - £40,000 p.a. doe
Permanent, Full Time Mon- Fri 09:00-17:00
Must have own transport as there will be occasional travel to other UK Sites

This job would suit someone from and NHS, Care Home, Law Enforcement or Military background – although of course, relevant experience in other industry sectors will be considered.

The Job
Your job will be varied and no two days will be the same!
Working closely with the HR Manager, you’ll have operational HR responsibility for the employee lifecycle and use your HR experience, own judgement, and specialist knowledge to work with employees, helping to resolve queries and issues.
You will also be working with small teams to train them on the companies’ equality and diversity policies and meet regularly with staff to assess and discuss wellbeing.

Responsibilities
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing advice and guidance as necessary
• Plan & conduct investigations into employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Monitor records of sickness/lateness etc.
• Assist with performance appraisal systems, providing support and guidance to managers and employees.
• Work closely with managers to address performance issues and develop improvement plans where necessary.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures as required to reflect changes in legislation and best practice, including employee handbook.
• Driving HR initiatives – collaborate on HR projects as directed by the Senior HR Manager/ Head of Operation, contributing your expertise to their successful execution.
• Working with existing teams to enhance the employee journey
• Oversite of new hire checks and onboarding to managing complex employee interactions.
• Conduct Annual employee satisfaction surveys.
• Assist HR Manager, Head of Operations with other ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements
• CIPD Level 5 or above and must have 12-month work experience at this level
• You must have a driving license and your own vehicle
• 4 plus years industry experience, thrives in fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.
• Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive performance, and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the relevant HR processes and procedures and, legislation
• Flexibility in travel: the role will involve some travel to sites in Birmingham and Head Office in East Grinstead
• Excellent IT skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
