Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established commercially focused business to recruit an experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded HR professional to join a busy and fast-paced operational environment, providing expert HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a highly varied role that will suit an individual who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, managing complex employee relations matters, and contributing to the ongoing development of people-focused initiatives and HR best practice.
The Role
Working closely with managers across the business, you will provide professional and pragmatic HR advice on a broad range of people matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies and best practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee wellbeing, managing absence cases, delivering effective employee relations outcomes and contributing to continuous improvement across the HR function.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a wide range of people matters.
* Manage a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance management, probation and attendance cases.
* Advise managers on the application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
* Support absence management processes, occupational health referrals and employee wellbeing initiatives.
* Prepare professional HR documentation, including investigation reports, meeting notes and outcome letters.
* Support employee engagement, performance development and organisational initiatives.
* Contribute to the review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Produce and analyse HR data and management information to support decision-making.
* Maintain accurate employee records and support the effective use of HR systems.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and support wider HR projects as required.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role or a similar position.
* Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases independently.
* Experience supporting absence management, wellbeing initiatives and occupational health processes.
* A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a demanding and varied workload.
* Experience producing high-quality HR documentation and reports.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
* Experience using HR systems and interpreting people data.
Desirable Experience
* CIPD qualification or currently working towards CIPD accreditation.
* Experience within a complex operational or fast-paced environment.
* Experience working with Trade Unions.
* Exposure to HR systems implementation or improvement projects.
* Experience producing and analysing HR management information
