Senior HR Administrator

Newcastle, NE12 8BU

Salary: starting at £28,000 increasing to £30,000 depending on experience

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – 9am to 6pm, Mon-Fri (Hybrid)

Holidays: 29 days holidays (increases to 31 days after 1 calender year service) including bank holidays.

We are looking for a Senior HR Administrator who will be reporting directly to the HR Operations Manager, you will be dealing with the employee lifecycle from end to end, with high volume queries, data management, monthly HR reporting and take part in additional HR projects.

As Senior HR Administrator you will have the following responsibilities:

Full management of all aspects of employee life cycle including hire, change job & termination process management, absence management, contract/letter management, right to work and DBS check management.

Ensure all staff files are updated and compliant on Workday system.

Perform regular checks on right to work and DBS applications status and provide weekly reporting ensuring we are fully compliant.

Review relevant HR processes and drive process improvements.

Management of HRIS (Workday), including participating in weekly calls to identify, promote and perform changes within the system and training of staff.

Assisting payroll with accuracy of HR data.

Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries, including queries regarding Workday and respond in timely manner via our ticketing tool system.

Work closely with HR personnel across our different sites, provide support and training on different HR processes.

Support HR staff with note taking when required.

Supporting the immediate team, with queries and training acting as a subject matter expert.

Assist in HR projects when needed.

The ideal candidate:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR administration role.

Strong Microsoft Excel Skills (Essential)

Great knowledge of employment law and other legislation related to HR

Experience with HRIS systems, especially Workday.

Strong prioritisation skills.

Strong communication skills to interact daily with multiple stakeholders.

High level of tenacity and a 'can do' attitude.

Strong attention to detail.

Superior organisation, prioritisation, and exceptional administrative skills.

Good knowledge of MS office package (Word, PowerPoint etc).
