Role: Senior Highways and Transport Planner REF 17874
Contract Length: Looking for temporary to permanent any time after 12 weeks
Location: Hybrid/Northampton - 1-2 days in the office
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: £20- £30 per hour (£36,736-£39,278 permanent salary)
Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Highways and Transport Planner for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORT PLANNER
* Support development and consultation on draft of the Local Transport Plan (a statutory document) by July 2024
* Support development of Northampton Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan by September 2024 and its consultation.
* Lead on development of smaller projects/ studies including walking and cycling corridors
* Support putting together a submission for the recently announced Local Transport Fund.
* Support the development of the rebuild of the Northamptonshire Strategic Transport Model
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORT PLANNER
* Professional with transport planning or policy experience
* Knowledge of current transport planning policy practice and transport project development
* Project delivery
* Working as part of a team
* Project management skills
* Experience in strategy writing and public consultation
