An excellent opportunity is available for a Senior Heritage Planner to join a well-established and respected independent planning consultancy based in London. The consultancy works with a broad range of private and public sector clients throughout the UK, providing specialist planning advice and commercially driven solutions across a diverse range of sectors. Its areas of expertise include heritage and conservation, listed buildings, planning applications, appeals, development management, site assessments and large-scale development projects.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Heritage Planner to join a successful, expanding and supportive team.

Providing specialist heritage and planning advice across a varied portfolio of projects.
Advising on projects involving listed buildings, conservation areas, historic properties and heritage-sensitive sites.
Preparing and contributing to heritage statements, assessments and planning documentation.
Working closely with clients, architects, local planning authorities and other professional consultants.
Supporting the development and implementation of effective planning and heritage strategies.
Taking responsibility for managing projects, deadlines and client instructions from inception through to completion.
Contributing to the continued growth and development of the consultancy's heritage planning service.
Working on a range of interesting and challenging projects across London and the wider UK.The Ideal Candidate:

Strong professional experience within heritage planning, conservation or a related discipline.
Demonstrable experience working with listed buildings and conservation areas.
Good knowledge of UK heritage legislation, planning policy and relevant guidance, including the NPPF.
Experience preparing or contributing to heritage statements, heritage assessments and planning applications.
A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development management process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Confident managing relationships with clients, consultants and local planning authorities.
MRTPI, IHBC or a relevant heritage, conservation or planning qualification would be advantageous.What's on Offer?
