My client is looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Construction Manager to take a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the safety, technical integrity, and successful delivery of major construction projects. This is an opportunity to influence strategy, shape contractor engagement, and drive excellence across complex, high‑risk construction environments — including demolition activities.

If you’re passionate about raising standards, influencing stakeholders, and leading safety performance at scale, we want to hear from you.

???? What You’ll Be Doing

Influence Contracting & Procurement
Provide expert input into contracting and procurement strategies to ensure safety requirements are fully embedded.

Draft and review safety‑critical contract clauses covering risk management and emergency response.

Establish and apply safety‑focused prequalification criteria for contractors and key personnel.

Evaluate contractor EHS systems, incident history, and overall safety performance.

Participate in bid evaluations and post‑project reviews to strengthen future procurement decisions.

Work with procurement teams to structure contracts that incentivise safety milestones.

Shape Construction Planning & Design
Support constructability reviews, facilitating discussions and documenting outcomes.

Ensure project design aligns with safe construction methods and practical site execution.

Identify potential construction issues early and drive proactive solutions.

Contribute to the Project Execution Plan, focusing on construction strategy and safety integration.

Provide guidance on permitting and regulatory requirements.

Lead Pre‑Construction Safety
Support development of preconstruction EHS information with the Client’s Design Coordinator.

Ensure safety schedules and documentation are in place before work begins.

Define EHS responsibility boundaries and prequalify contractors on behalf of the client.

Drive Site Safety Excellence
Monitor contractor compliance through regular meetings, audits, and performance reviews.

Implement site‑specific safety rules and contractor oversight plans.

Apply deep knowledge of demolition safety standards and regulatory requirements.

???? What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Construction Management or Construction EHS Management.

Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards, regulations, and best practices — especially demolition.

Strong understanding of contract management and procurement processes.

Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven leadership experience managing safety on large‑scale construction projects.

Competency in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

Experience developing and implementing safety incentive programmes
