Senior Group Accountant

Description:

I'm currently supporting a global leader within the engineering sector, in the search for a Senior Group Accountant to join their growing Group Finance function.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a complex multinational consolidation process within a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Lead the Group consolidation process and month-end close activities
✅ Review and oversee the work of the Group Accountant
✅ Own consolidation eliminations, intercompany balances and Group recharges
✅ Act as the Group SME for OneStream consolidation software
✅ Partner with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Internal Audit and site finance teams globally
✅ Drive financial control improvements and process efficiencies
✅ Support investor reporting, lender reporting and external audit requirements
✅ Provide technical accounting expertise across IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP matters

About You:

✔ ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
✔ Strong technical accounting background
✔ Previous consolidation experience within industry or practice
✔ Experience with IFRS reporting
✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
✔ Comfortable operating within a complex international organisation

Desirable Experience:

⭐ OneStream or similar consolidation software
⭐ Private equity-backed businesses
⭐ UK GAAP and US GAAP exposure
⭐ Manufacturing, aerospace or engineering environments
