An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy near Reading. Collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary environment.Key responsibilities for the Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer:
Leading the geotechnical design of foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, slope stability and temporary works schemes.
Managing multiple projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
Reviewing and interpreting complex ground investigation data to produce robust design solutions.
Preparing and checking technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
Liaising directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
Supporting project delivery, commercial performance and business development opportunities.Requirements for the Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer:
Proven experience delivering geotechnical design projects within a consultancy environment.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of current design standards and geotechnical analysis.
Experience reviewing the work of junior engineers and providing technical support.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Full right to work in the UK.
