Senior General Foreman – East Sussex
We’re currently working with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior General Foreman to join a major project in East Sussex.
This is a long-term opportunity on a significant infrastructure scheme, with works involving a range of complex heavy civil engineering activities including piling, retaining structures, earthworks, highways, groundworks and temporary works.
The Opportunity
As Senior General Foreman, you’ll take a leading role on site, coordinating operatives and subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and coordinating site teams and subcontractors
* Planning and sequencing works to meet programme requirements
* Coordinating labour, plant and materials
* Monitoring productivity and progress
* Maintaining accurate site records
* Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
* Working closely with the wider site management and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with experienced Senior General Foremen / General Foremen who have a strong background in heavy civils, infrastructure, highways and earthworks.
Ideally, you will have:
* Proven experience leading teams on major civil engineering projects
* Main contractor experience
* Strong knowledge of site operations and construction planning
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* SMSTS and CSCS
* Full UK driving licence
Lift Supervisor and NRSWA Supervisor qualifications would be advantageous.
