Senior Flood Risk Consultant

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join a leading environmental consultancy in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced flood risk professional to work on a wide range of residential, commercial, infrastructure and mixed-use developments across the UK.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering flood risk and drainage projects, managing client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment alongside planning, environmental and engineering specialists.
The successful Senior Flood Risk Consultant will be responsible for:
Producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for a variety of developments.
Preparing Drainage Strategy Reports and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs.
Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological assessments.
Liaising with the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities, water companies and other key stakeholders.
Providing technical advice to clients throughout the planning and design process.
Managing multiple projects to programme and budget.
Mentoring and supporting junior consultants.
Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies within a consultancy environment.
Strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy and planning guidance.
Experience using industry software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to manage projects and build strong client relationships.
Full UK driving licence.
