About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Fire Engineer to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Fire Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of projects across multiple sectors. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality fire engineering solutions, providing technical expertise and supporting the successful delivery of projects from initial concept through to completion.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently while supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead and deliver fire engineering projects from inception through to completion.
*
Undertake fire strategies, fire risk assessments and technical fire engineering reports.
*
Provide specialist advice on fire safety, building regulations and relevant British Standards.
*
Carry out fire engineering calculations, analysis and technical assessments.
*
Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, building control and other design professionals.
*
Attend site visits, inspections and project meetings.
*
Review technical drawings, specifications and fire safety strategies.
*
Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
*
Ensure all projects comply with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.
Requirements
*
Proven experience working as a Fire Engineer, ideally at Senior level.
*
Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
*
Experience producing fire strategies and technical fire engineering reports.
*
Knowledge of fire safety design, compartmentation, means of escape and fire protection systems.
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
*
Confident liaising with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
*
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Fire Engineering or a related discipline.
