More about your role  

As a member of the business leadership team, you will collaborate with Directors, Board members, and colleagues on financial strategy to ensure organisational growth and sustainability. You will lead the preparation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures, manage finances and operations, and oversee financial reporting. Your role includes developing financial forecasts, monitoring performance indicators, preparing audit files, and supporting the finalisation of annual audited statements. Additionally, you will maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, including subsidiary Boards, Senior Management, Housing Regulators, Auditors, and Government representatives. 

This is a hybrid role from our Preston, Lancashire office with the expectation to be based in the office two days a week.

More about you  

To be considered for this role. you must have experience working closely with operational colleagues in a complex organisation, influencing all stakeholders. You need to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance staff and be proficient in data analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Your role requires challenging and operating effectively at a leadership level, with strong decision-making, strategic thinking, planning, and prioritisation skills.  

 You will lead team in a matrix management culture, providing advice and support per accounting standards, group policies, procedures, and deadlines. Preferred qualities include experience in continuous improvement, managing multiple projects, and developing policies to ensure sound financial management and regulatory compliance.
