Senior Export Co-ordinator

Description:

My client is a household name within the Construction Hire market, established over 25 years ago, with a very strong presence within the UK. They are looking for someone who can achieve sell their full product range of scaffolding, building products (compaction, cutting and concrete products), formwork and shoring as well as access and anti-fall products.

They are looking for a Senior Export Co-ordinator to join the team in the Midlands, the role would include:

To proactively engage in seeking enquiries, preparing
quotations and securing profitable revenue.
 To expedite and co-ordinate export orders requiring design.
 The Senior Export Coordinator to the Export Manager .
 The Export Coordinator reports to the Senior Export
Coordinator

 Sales and Commercial
 In consultation with the Export Manager , set pricing structure and prepare,
communicate and follow up customer quotations
 Fulfil and communicate progress on export customer orders
 Proactively follow up invoicing to ensure timely payment
 Monthly turnover reporting and provisions in conjunction with the Export Manager
 A working knowledge of French and Spanish language would be advantageous
 Administration
 Customer communication from enquiry to material delivery and payment received
 Prepare and submit all export documentation including Commercial Invoices,
Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, EUR1s, Bills of Lading (with
shippers),insurance documents, Letter of Credit presentations or agreed
payment terms on major project orders
 Liaise with Banks, Consular Services, Chamber of Commerce, Altrad or Internal
Departments to ensure all insurance cover is in place when required and
Inspection Bureaus
 Liaise with procurement department and operations for all on new manufacture
orders/pricing for current Replacement Costs and when required suppliers direct
to ensure agreed customer delivery dates are met
 Liaise with operations on material requisition, specific packing requirements and
general progress
 Oversee Axapta postings of excel-produced quotations and invoices
 Post Axapta returns for hire projects and continue training Coordinator to perform
these tasks
 Maintain export branch and any overseas consignment stock through Axapta
 Maintain export shipping logs including transaction register
 Supply costings, provisions and statistical information to finance department
 Work to company system procedures
 Complete the VGold project payment spread sheet for distribution to Export
Manager, Credit Control & VGold

The Senior Export Coordinator will be accountable to the Export Manager within
their areas of responsibility for:
 Proactively dealing with customer issues
 Completion of documentation and administration
 Regular reporting on progress
The Senior Export Coordinator will be the line manager for the Export Coordinator
and routinely complete the following;
 Daily/weekly/Monthly checks on the work carried out by the Export
Coordinator to ensure this conforms to the UK Export SOP’s
 Advise and develop a working system that allocates workload to be
completed to a satisfactory timeline agreed by all invested parties

The Senior Export Coordinator will relate with other staff not reporting directly to
them: -
 Operations Manager and team for equipment sourcing, preparation,
delivery schedules, quality and loading requirements
 Works General Manager/Central Services Operations Manager for Export
Equipment loading co-ordination & planning
 Finance Team (inc. Credit Control and Purchase Ledger) for matters
relating to customer accounts issues, debtor balances and cost analysis
 Technical Team for technical matters relating to customer enquiries
