Senior Estimator

Description:

We're recruiting a Senior Estimator to join our client's established estimating team based in Bristol. This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary and the chance to play a key role in securing successful contract awards across commercial roofing and cladding projects.

The Senior Estimator will lead tender responses and work collaboratively with procurement, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure robust cost plans that are both profitable and deliverable.

Key Responsibilities

* Assess tender documentation and carry out site visits to identify project requirements and cost drivers

* Organise supplier quotes and liaise with procurement for material and service sourcing

* Prepare detailed cost plans covering labour, materials, plant, and subcontractor elements

* Lead the coordination and submission of accurate, compliant tender documents

* Support pre-construction planning with confirmed scope, logistics, and pricing strategy

* Carry out commercial handovers and provide input on pricing complex variations

* Maintain full compliance with health, safety, legal, and environmental standards

* Collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to ensure smooth project transitions

Requirements / Qualifications

* Minimum 5 years' experience estimating in the roofing and cladding industry

* Strong understanding of subcontractor documentation and construction contracts

* Ability to read technical drawings and produce accurate take-offs

* Desirable: Knowledge of Eque2, Microsoft Excel, and Evaluate estimating software

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities

* Able to build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
