Senior Estimator – Fit-Out Projects
£80,000 - £90,000 + Package
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a highly reputable and growing contractor with a strong presence in the fit-out sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has significant experience in delivering high-value, complex fit-out projects, particularly in the warehouse and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate and detailed estimates for large-scale fit-out projects, with a focus on CAT A commercial and warehouse schemes, ranging up to £10m in value.
* Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely submission of tenders.
* Analyse project documentation, identify potential risks, and prepare detailed cost plans and budgets.
* Lead the preparation of tender submissions and provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance business growth and repeat work opportunities.
* Mentor and develop junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise on all aspects of estimating.
Experience & Skills Required:
* A proven track record as a Senior Estimator, specifically within the fit-out industry, ideally having worked on commercial and warehouse CAT A projects.
* Experience managing large-scale projects up to £10m in value.
* Strong knowledge of pricing, procurement, and cost management within fit-out and construction projects.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
* High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* A strong understanding of building regulations, industry standards, and best practices in estimating.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a similar field is desirable.
