Senior Estimator – Civils & Groundworks
We’re working with an established civils and groundworks contractor based in Penrith who are looking to bring an experienced Senior Estimator into the team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in civil engineering and groundworks to take ownership of tenders and help support the company’s continued growth.
The Role:
*
Preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for civils and groundworks projects.
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents.
*
Producing detailed take-offs and pricing works from first principles.
*
Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
*
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities within tenders.
*
Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
*
Working closely with the commercial and delivery teams to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within civils and groundworks.
*
Strong knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure and civil engineering packages.
*
Experience pricing projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
*
Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
*
Confident managing multiple tenders and working to deadlines.
*
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
