* Obtain, assess and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process.

* Work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover of successful tenders.

* Ensure estimates reflect project requirements, commercial objectives and relevant contractual arrangements, including JCT and NEC forms of contract.

* Experience pricing fit-out and refurbishment projects; exposure to healthcare and/or education projects would be beneficial.

* A strong understanding of construction methods, project costs, subcontract procurement and the tendering process.

* Experience working with JCT and NEC contracts.

* Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability and attention to detail.

* Confident communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

* The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines while working effectively with a wider project team.

* HNC, degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

* Eligibility to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits

* Salary of £70,000–£75,000 per annum.

* 33 days’ annual holiday, including bank holidays.

* Pension scheme.

* Medicash scheme.

* Potential future shareholding following a qualifying period of service.
