Due to continued growth and a strong secured workload, this long-established regional contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to strengthen its successful Pre-Construction team.

LeisureThe Role

Working within an experienced Pre-Construction team, you will take responsibility for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to successful project handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Producing detailed analytical estimates and cost plans.
Obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Preparing bills of quantities and pricing preliminaries.
Identifying project risks and opportunities throughout the tender process.
Carrying out value engineering exercises to maximise value for clients.
Attending tender adjudication meetings and presenting estimates to senior management.
Liaising with the commercial, design and operational teams to ensure buildability and programme considerations are incorporated.
Supporting post-tender negotiations with clients and consultants.
Providing a thorough handover to the construction team following successful project awards.About You

We're looking for someone who has:

Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a main contractor.
Experience pricing new build and refurbishment projects.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
Excellent knowledge of subcontractor procurement and supply chain management.
The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail.
Experience using estimating software alongside Microsoft Office.What's on Offer?
