Senior Estimator
Location: London
Salary: Up to £100k + package
I'm currently working with a leading specialist contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in securing major reinforced concrete frame (FRC), groundworks and civil engineering projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy and industrial.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead estimating and tendering activities for RC frame, groundwork and civil engineering projects.
Develop competitive bid strategies to secure profitable work.
Manage tender programmes from initial enquiry through to submission.
Coordinate internal bid teams and liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
Prepare tender settlements and lead approval processes.
Identify value engineering opportunities through design and construction methodology reviews.
Manage project risk registers and commercial assessments.
Lead tender presentations and support business development activities.
Support project handovers and mentor junior members of the estimating team.
Requirements:
Strong estimating experience within RC Frames, groundworks, structures or civil engineering.
Proven experience managing tenders for complex construction projects.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction tendering.
Experience leading bid teams and coordinating multidisciplinary input.
Proficiency with Candy or similar estimating software.
Degree qualified, with RICS, CIOB, ICE or equivalent membership advantageous.
