Interim Senior Estates Surveyor
£500-£550 per day
6 Month Initial Contract
Hybrid Working
A progressive Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to support the management and optimisation of its diverse property portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive estates professional with strong public sector experience to play a key role in delivering asset management, income generation and property strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of commercial, operational and investment properties.
* Lead on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews and licence negotiations.
* Undertake property acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
* Identify and deliver opportunities for income generation and asset optimisation.
* Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders and service departments.
* Instruct and manage external consultants, agents and legal teams.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority policies.
* Support wider property and regeneration projects as required.
Requirements
* MRICS qualified
* Proven Estates Surveying experience within a Local Authority
* Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
* Experience of acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews and lease negotiations.
* Ability to manage a varied property portfolio with minimal supervision.
* Excellent stakeholder management and report-writing skills
