Job Title: Senior Estates Capital Project Manager
Band: £32p/h
Working Hours: 37.5 per week
Duration: 3 months
Role Overview: As the Senior Estates Capital Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing major Estates Capital Projects from inception to completion, aligned with the Capital Investment Group (CIG) Estates Capital Plan 2023-24. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project procurement, coordination with the Commissioning Team, managing a team of Project Managers, and ensuring seamless project delivery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee the implementation of the 2023-24 Estates Capital Plan.
* Manage existing Estates capital Project Officers/Project Managers.
* Develop monthly reports on contract progress, highlighting any issues affecting cost or time to the Associate Director of Building Fabric & Investment.
* Report monthly progress to the Capital Investment Group (CIG).
* Develop design briefs and works information in accordance with the JCT/NEC form of contract.
* Conduct physical site surveys, technical assessments, and reports.
* Design and specify major and minor projects to meet agreed briefs.
* Manage projects from inception through to completion, commissioning, and defects liability.
* Prepare estimates and outline costs, ensuring effective cost control throughout projects.
Education, Training, and Qualifications:
* Relevant building engineering or master's degree, or equivalent professional/postgraduate qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Access Database).
* Experience in programme management (Microsoft Project or similar).
* AutoCAD experience is desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
* Experience in conducting risk assessments.
* Proficiency in producing documents, spreadsheets, and presenting strategic documents.
* Awareness of project management processes and related documentation.
* Flexibility to meet project targets and timescales.
* Knowledge of audit and risk management processes, particularly within the NHS.
