Description:
Location: We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to an Arqiva office up to twice a month
Role Type: This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Key Accountabilities
* Install, test, analyse, troubleshoot and modify new network equipment and solutions to achieve maximum performance and availability
* Provide technical knowledge to the development and deployment of service infrastructure, driving improved technical and service performance
* Drive the design and build activity, engaging with internal and external contributors to ensure the solution meets requirements
* Design and drive processes to facilitate smooth and seamless deployment of new services, including documenting engineering build procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures
* Supervise the delivery of 3rd party suppliers and contractors to ensure that delivery specifications and standards meet Arqiva requirements.
* Standardise equipment and configuration to minimise disruption and achieve straightforward integration with existing networks/infrastructure,
* Provide technical leadership within the team, sharing knowledge and skills and providing mentoring support to engineers and technicians
* Adopt the role of Design Authority (DA) in area of expertise to ensure the delivery of the end-to-end network design for complex projects
* Drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set
Qualifications:
* Either (A Higher Education or professional qualification in a relevant discipline) or relevant experience CCDP or equivalent certification
Required Expertise:
* Significant experience of designing, building, development testing and implementing complex IP network equipment and systems.
* Experience of technical processes, standards and engineering practices related to area of expertise.
Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s):
* Strong knowledge of technologies involved in IP Networking
* Thorough understanding of networking routing and switching protocols to include but not limited to, BGP, BFD and SNMPv3
Beneficial experience:
* Knowledge of IP multicast protocol IGMPv3
* Coding in Python (classes, functions, data types, control flow), including use of standard libraries such as regular expressions (to parse output from devices into useful data) and file reading/writing (CSV/JSON) (for feeding input data and then creating output reports).
