Senior Engineer – Energy Transmission

NT Engineering & Manufacturing is recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and energy infrastructure contractor for a Senior Engineer to join its Energy Team on a major electricity transmission framework.
You’ll work on projects that secure the UK’s energy supply for decades to come, with a business that backs innovation and invests in its people.
What you’ll be doing
Setting and promoting best practice in health, safety and environmental matters alongside the SHQE team
Assisting with temporary works design schemes
Advising engineers on setting out methods and techniques
Making sure drawings and specifications are accurate and complete, and chasing missing information so the programme isn’t delayed
Working with foremen, supervisors, the client, designers and the supply chain
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant
Preparing risk assessments and method statements, keeping the daily site diary and signing off inspection and test plans
What we’re looking for
Experience on construction or civil engineering projects
Experience with ITPs, RAMS and temporary works
Excellent knowledge of civil engineering, health and safety and environmental legislation
The confidence to discuss engineering issues across levels and disciplines
The ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work
