Senior Electronics Engineer
Permanent role
Based in Ampthill
Offering circa £54,500

As the Senior Electronics Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
You will be involved in:
Reporting to the Design Team Lead
Take responsibility for elements of the design and development of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process
Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture following a detailed phase-gate development process
Produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence, and test documentation
Design and develop electrical/electronic sub-assemblies for low and high-power DC systems
Analyse, test, and evaluate electrical circuits, components, and protection of harnesses
Your skillset & experience:
Formal Electrical qualification such as HND/BEng
Design and development of electrical/electronic circuitry (includes analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques, and power electronics).
Experience of Electrical Hardware Design & Electrical Product Development for Harsh Environments
Analysis, test, and evaluation of electronic/electrical circuits and components
Electrical/Electronic circuit simulation and analysis
EMC and Environmental Awareness at system and circuit level
Awareness of working to formal Electrical standards (such as Def-Stan / Mil Standards/Automotive/Rail), Safety, and Quality processes
Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration, and Test
Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electronic circuits using JTAG, Logic Analysers, DMM, Oscilloscope, and Power supplies
Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tools
Experience of Altium, SIMetrix, and LTSpice
