Senior Electromechanical Technician
Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 DOE + benefits
Jackson Hogg is pleased to be supporting an innovative engineering business that designs and manufactures cutting-edge automated machinery and complex electromechanical equipment for customers across a range of high-tech industries.
Our client is looking to bring a Senior Electromechanical Technician to their team and play a key role in the build, test, commissioning and development of bespoke automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and assemble complex electromechanical and automated systems.
* Carry out electrical wiring, installation and integration activities.
* Support machine testing, fault finding and commissioning.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
* Interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics and technical documentation.
* Work closely with design, controls and project engineering teams.
* Support continuous improvement activities across the workshop.
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members where required.
Key Requirements
* Experience in electromechanical assembly, machine build or automation environments.
* Electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, motors and drives.
* Reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting complex equipment.
* Machine commissioning, testing or installation activities.
* Pneumatic and hydraulic systems (desirable).
* Working on bespoke machinery, robotics, special-purpose equipment or advanced manufacturing systems.
