Salary: £50,500 + potential bonus c£2,000 + other fantastic benefits

Position Summary

Keeping the manufacturing plant of this household named premium brand product up and running over a 24/7 shift pattern on a 3 week rota. You will join a team of highly enthusiastic, professional, and friendly people working for this multinational blue-chip company. Being a Senior Engineering Technician you will lead the Engineering Team which look after a range of machines including steam generating boilers, refrigeration and also waste handling equipment. The ideal person will enjoy daily challenges, working with people to solve problems and be driven to develop their own skill set through continuously training and learning.

As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will:

* Lead a team of technicians, managing workload priorities and ensuring all industrial service requirements are met.

* Provide professional engineering support, performing preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial services plants, including steam-generating boilers, the largest refrigeration plant in the UK, and waste handling systems.

* Engage in engineering improvements within the department.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the automated process and Shift Management Team, leading daily maintenance activities, key shutdowns, and plant improvements.

* Use breakdown analysis to continuously improve asset intensity.

* Execute and prioritise planned maintenance activities, communicating with production and other stakeholders.

* Seek opportunities to revise and improve the production plan, supporting the manufacturing strategy.

* Ensure the department always has the necessary engineering cover.

What Will Make You Successful?

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineering technician who is enthusiastic and detail-oriented, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Key attributes include:

* Hands-on, practical approach with a can-do attitude.

* Ability to lead a team, ensuring compliance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

* Support the development of the Engineering team in line with the Technical Competency Matrix.

* Strong fault-finding skills and experience in using breakdown analysis to eliminate root causes.

* Good knowledge of GLOBE SAP systems and reporting.

* Familiarity with PM methodologies and a drive to implement them within the team.

To be considered for this role you MUST have experience within a similar role and either a City & Guilds or BTEC in electrical or electronic engineering coupled with over 5 years working experience
