Cardiff or Bristol

We're partnering with a highly respected engineering consultancy that is continuing to grow across the Southwest and Wales. With an impressive portfolio of projects spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector developments, they are seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join their thriving team in either Cardiff or Bristol.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape high-quality engineering solutions that make a real impact.

This position offers the chance to take ownership of projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continued success and growth of an established consultancy known for technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and specification of electrical building services systems across a variety of projects.
Develop detailed designs for power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security and small power systems.
Produce engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
Carry out electrical load assessments and coordinate utility connections.
Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Attend client meetings and provide expert technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Ensure all designs comply with current regulations, including BS 7671, Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.About You

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience within a Building Services consultancy environment.
Strong technical understanding of electrical building services design and UK industry standards.
Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education or industrial developments.
Proficient with industry software including AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Amtech, Dialux, Relux or similar.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards chartership, would be advantageous.
