Description:
We are currently looking for a (local) Senior Electrical Engineer to start on a biotech site in Billingham, UK.
Start date is 3rd June & duration is 6months initially.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will plan & organise all electrical technical functions specific to the project, coordinate interaction between in-house teams & clients and provide guidance on technical requirements.
You must have a strong electrical engineering background along with experience managing design projects.
Project
Construction of a new greenfield Bio-Pharma facility
Our client’s scope is Mechanical piping & HVAC, Electrical & IT Packages
Installation of all production reactors and equipment
Installation of approximately 16,000m’s of pipe, various specifications
Installation of approximately 22,000m2 of duct

Roles and Responsibilities
Aid in the pursuit of new project work by attending pre-bid meetings; identify scope, schedule, and budget; actively participate in preparation of proposals; lead client interviews and presentations as needed.
Effective communication and teamwork with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams are crucial for aligning technical requirements with project objectives and ensuring smooth project execution.
Leadership and coordination are paramount in overseeing multi-discipline design teams. Your role will involve fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that the collective expertise of the team is harnessed efficiently towards project goals.
Demonstrated experience working with multi-discipline design teams.
Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools and deliverable distribution lists.
The ability to balance competing priorities and optimize resource allocation is key to maintaining project schedules and delivering outcomes within stipulated timelines.
Multi-disciplinary design management experience required.
Identifying potential technical risks and formulating mitigation strategies demonstrate your foresight and problem-solving skills, crucial for navigating unforeseen challenges during project implementation.
Properly identify and assess project risks and escalate as appropriate.
Develop and maintain positive client relationships for all projects.
Engaging with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants throughout the project lifecycle demonstrates your commitment to addressing concerns and fostering a collaborative environment conducive to project success.
Building and nurturing positive client relationships by addressing technical concerns and ensuring alignment with project objectives is essential for client satisfaction and project success.
Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements, is vital for seamless project execution.
Requirements & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering discipline
10+ years’ experience as an Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant design project management experience essential
Fluent English essential
Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations essential
Knowledge of BS7671 Electrical Regulations essential
Knowledge of Electrical Systems essential
Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential
Experience working with Quality software would be advantageous
Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skill

Pay: £48.00 p/hr gross
