Senior Electrical Design Engineer – London
Are you an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer looking to take the next step in your career
I'm working with a leading multidisciplinary building services consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing London office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across sectors including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Life Sciences, Industrial and Mixed-Use developments.
You'll play a key role in leading projects from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams while mentoring junior engineers.
The Role
Lead the electrical design of building services projects across the full RIBA lifecycle.
Produce electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports.
Attend client, design team and site meetings.
Coordinate with mechanical, public health and structural engineers.
Review and oversee the work of junior engineers.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.
Contribute to sustainable, low-carbon design solutions.
About You
Degree qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (HNC/HND candidates with relevant experience will also be considered).
Strong experience within Electrical Building Services design.
Experience delivering projects across the full design lifecycle.
Proficient with industry-standard software such as Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, Revit and AutoCAD.
Good knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.
Client-facing experience with excellent communication skills.
Chartered or working towards CEng through CIBSE or IET is desirable.
