Job description - the role

AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for a 12-month contract based in any of the following: Warrington / Manchester / Whitehaven / Leeds / Sheffield / Glasgow, on a hybrid basis.

Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience

About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers for a range of exciting projects. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in the following areas:

Solar
Hydrogen (production, storage and transmission)
Wind
Energy storage
Carbon Capture
Energy from waste
Water

In this role you will:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be a key part of the MEICA team; managing multi-disciplinary projects while providing technical support to other engineers and consultants.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Strong technical ability.
Ability to guide feasibility, full design duties and site stage activities of complex major and minor projects.
Experience of the IEE Wiring regulations, national and international standards.
Appreciation and experience of producing and interpreting complex or detailed design drawings and documentation.
Knowledge of relevant software design tools, techniques and related methods e.g. IT systems, Amtech etc.
Proficient in the specification of development work as well as the interpretation and application of results.About the client
