Bennett and Game are currently representing a well-established grounds maintenance company, who are actively seeking an ambitious Senior Ecologist to join their ever-growing team . Since establishing back in 1973, our client has grown rapidly and now provides a variety of service to clients throughout the whole of the UK. The successful Senior Ecologist will work closely alongside the head of Ecology, assisting Habitat Classification surveys and supporting junior members of staff.

Senior Ecologist Position Overview

Undertaking UK Habitat Classification Surveys, (licenced) protected species surveys
Building tenders and creating complex fee quotations at speed
Producing complex technical reports (PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs and EcIAs)
Managing medium to large sized projects with ability to track financial progress
Line management of junior ecologists
Logistical and legislative problem solvingSenior Ecologist Position Requirements

3 years+ industry experience
Relevant bachelor's degree
Minimum of 1 protected species licence (preferred)
Hold a full UK driving license
Extensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and the understanding of how to apply them correctly
Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (ideally Associate), is preferredSenior Ecologist Position Remuneration

Competitive salary, ranging between £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
