Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer to join the team in Reading. In this role, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of innovative design solutions across various projects. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet technical requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of complex engineering systems, components, and products.
Utilise advanced design tools and methodologies to optimise product performance and efficiency.
Conduct detailed feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including R&D, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven track record of success in designing and implementing complex engineering solutions.
Extensive experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
Strong analytically and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Prior experience in [specific industry/sector] is highly desirable.
