We are currently partnering with a local manufacturing business in Dorset to support their plans for business growth, and part of that is the requirement for more skilled staff including this vacancy for a Senior Engineer.

A crucial role within the business, the Senior Engineer will support the company's growth and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities as Senior Design Engineer:

You play a big part in creating and implementing in new designs and new product designs for this growing and forward-thinking business.
Be responsible for assisting with technical and knowledge support within the business for other departments and clients alike.
Be able to work with products from cradle to grave, seeing the entire process through.
Create and evaluate accurate technical documentation.
Be able to conduct thorough stress analysis calculations and reporting, FEA, CFD
Be part of the monthly focus meetings with other departments
Experience as Senior Design Engineer:

Ideally you will have a Degree in Engineering or a relevant equivalent.
Ideally you will have a bias towards mechanical engineering.
You will be experienced within a lean manufacturing environment with an understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.
A continuous improvement focused approach.
Experience as Senior Design Engineer within an engineering business
You must have a solid demonstrable understanding of 2d and 3d design and be experienced with stress analysis.
You will be the kind of individual who thinks outside the box and applies a positive approach in the face of challenging situations.
