Senior Data Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (UK)
Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 per annum
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: 37 hours per week
The Opportunity
Cooper Lomaz is delighted to be supporting an established, UK-wide organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join their Finance & Business Intelligence team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Data Analyst or Business Intelligence professional who enjoys working with complex data, developing reporting solutions and delivering meaningful insights that influence business decisions.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will play an important role in enhancing reporting capabilities, improving data quality and developing scalable analytics solutions.
The position is fully remote, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where data plays an important role in shaping business performance and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
*
Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and KPI scorecards.
*
Develop scalable data models using dimensional modelling and data warehousing principles.
*
Create and optimise complex DAX measures and calculations.
*
Write and optimise SQL queries for reporting, analysis and data validation.
*
Work with Data Engineers to develop reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
*
Utilise Python to automate processes, manipulate data and enhance analytical capabilities.
*
Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
*
Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into practical solutions.
*
Support continuous improvements in reporting, data quality and business intelligence processes.
Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst or BI professional with a strong technical background and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:

Significant experience in a Senior Data Analyst, Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role.
*
Advanced Power BI development experience, including complex dashboards and reporting solutions.
*
Strong SQL skills, including querying and manipulating large datasets.
*
Excellent DAX knowledge, including developing and optimising measures.
*
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms.
*
Practical Python experience for data analysis, automation and manipulation.
*
Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas and data warehousing.
*
Experience delivering reporting solutions within complex business environments.
*
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
*
The ability to translate technical information into clear, commercially valuable insights.
