We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Credit Controller to join a growing, family-owned business based in Otley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who can hit the ground running and contribute to our continued success. The role reports directly to the Credit Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate effective credit management.
Conduct credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
Monitor customer accounts and ensure compliance with credit terms.
Resolve any payment issues or disputes efficiently and professionally.
Prepare regular reports on debtors, credit status, and collection performance for senior management.
Assist in the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to junior credit control staff as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a credit control position, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practices.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
