The Opportunity
We are working with an established creative design and production business specialising in retail displays, brand experiences, experiential environments and visual installations. They work with leading brands to create engaging physical spaces, activations and customer experiences, taking projects from initial concept through to design development and production.
They are looking for a talented Mid-Senior Creative Designer / Conceptual Designer to join their creative team and help develop innovative concepts across retail, experiential and branded environments.
This is a great opportunity for a designer who enjoys coming up with big creative ideas, but also understands how those ideas can be developed into realistic, buildable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop creative concepts and design solutions for retail displays, experiential environments, brand activations and installations.
* Generate initial ideas through sketching, moodboards, visualisation and concept development.
* Develop concepts into detailed creative presentations for clients.
* Produce high-quality 3D visualisations and renders to communicate design intent.
* Work closely with account, project, production and technical teams to develop concepts into deliverable designs.
* Consider materials, construction methods, manufacturing and installation when developing concepts.
* Present creative ideas and concepts confidently to clients and internal teams.
* Respond to client briefs and develop creative solutions that meet brand, commercial and practical requirements.
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
* Stay current with trends across retail, experiential, interiors, architecture, materials and brand experience.
About You
We are looking for a designer with a strong conceptual and creative portfolio and experience within one or more of the following:
* Retail design / displays
* Experiential design
* Brand activations
* Exhibition design
* Interiors
* Events / environments
* Pop-ups and installations
* Product or furniture design
You should be confident taking a brief and developing it into a strong creative concept, while understanding the practical considerations involved in bringing that idea to life.
Essential Skills
* Strong conceptual design ability.
* Excellent visual communication skills.
* Strong 3D modelling and rendering capability.
* Experience creating client-facing presentations.
* Good understanding of materials and manufacturing.
* Ability to develop ideas from initial concept through to design development.
* Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills.
* Experience with relevant 3D software such as Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Blender, SolidWorks or similar.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong communication and presentation skills
