Senior Corporate Tax Director| Full time and Permanent | London | Salary up to £120,000

Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with an established accountancy firm as they search for a Senior Corporate Tax Director to join their team. The Senior Corporate Tax Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Corporate Tax planning, compliance and reporting for the group, ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws and regulations while minimising tax liabilities. The Senior Corporate Tax Director will collaborate with Partners, senior management and cross-functional teams as well as clients to develop and implement Corporate Tax strategies, provide tax guidance, and manage relationships with the HMRC and external advisors.

Responsibilities:

· Provide guidance and support to Partners, senior management and clients on Corporate Tax implications of business decisions and strategies.

· Oversee all aspects of Corporate Tax planning, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring.

· Manage Corporate Tax audits and inquiries, working closely with the R&D division, external auditors and HMRC as well as other authorities.

· Lead and develop a high-performing Corporate Tax team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth and skill development.

· Drive new business development initiatives ensuring a strong and sustainable pipeline of new business regionally and nationally.

· Reviewing work carried out by junior team members to ensure Corporate Tax work is completed within timeframes, to the required high standards and to budget.

· Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of Corporate Tax returns.

· Handle ongoing compliance matters related to Corporate Tax reporting.

· Engage in various advisory projects, including capital allowance reviews, acquisitions and disposals and re-organisations.

· Participate in sector-specific forums and seminars to stay informed of, and updated on, Corporate Tax developments and leading practices.

· Provide Corporate Tax guidance during financial reporting processes.

· Building a strong relationship with HMRC, and undertake regular compliance reviews on strategy, governance and controls improvements.

· Collaborate with other service groups within the group to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

· To undertake any other duties commensurate with the seniority of this post as may be reasonably requested by the Equity Partners.

About you:

· Strong technical knowledge of UK Corporate Tax laws and regulations.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions.

· The ability to constructively mentor junior team members.

· Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

· Effective communication and advisory skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax issues to non-Corporate Tax professionals, plus clients.

· A strong leader and team player with a natural ability to inspire and motivate others.

· Commercially and entrepreneurial minded with an appetite to proactively grow the business through strategic planning and networking.

· A minimum of 5 years' Corporate Tax experience gained at a leadership level from an accountancy, financial services or legal background.

· The ability to interpret and apply complex tax legislation.

· A proven track record of developing and implementing Corporate Tax strategies across a range of industries and sectors nationally and internationally.

· CTA qualified (ACA, ICAS or equivalent) with a sound background in UK Corporate Tax and relevant laws.

· Strong record of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) demonstrating mastery across a broad range of Corporate Tax areas of expertise.
