Senior Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer - Renewables
Up to £50,000
Hemel Hempstead with hybrid working

This is a design and project delivery focussed role, not a maintenance, hands on position.

About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a company who play a critical part in maintaining and running some critical national infrastructure to transport fuel and gas up and down the country.

This Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer offers hybrid working from home, sites and the office and comes with a salary of up to £50,000.

Responsibilities and duties:
Managing and delivering engineering project work, from full design, procurement and coordination of site delivery, focusing on C&I
Managing projects ranging from a few thousand pounds to full EPC projects up to and around £1million
Preparing and overseeing project plans and programmes to ensure delivery of the projects
Being heavily involved in tendering and supply chain activities for said projects
Establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external relationships with stakeholders
Providing technical C&I expertise to each project as and when required
Internal coordination of other disciplines to assist with your projects, ie Engineers biased in other areas and the CAD Team
Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following, essential qualifications:
A higher education in a relevant discipline, ie an electrical degree
Ideally, a membership to a professional engineering institution
At least a year's working experience in a similar role for the more entry level position and at least 5 years' experience for the upper end of the salary
A valid UK driving licence
Very computer literate with excellent written and spoken English

The C&I Engineer role would suit someone who has:
Excellent organisational skills
Someone who is flexible and is a problem-solver

Salary and benefits of the Site Supervisor role:
£45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
Company bonus, paid annually
36 days holiday including Bank Holidays
