Northampton
£55 per hour (umbrella)
Full Time Contract ( 3 months )
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Contracts Lawyer in Northampton. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours. The employer can offer mostly remote working, with very infrequent office visits
The job:
The effective and efficient preparation and processing in a timely manner of all legal documents (including contracts, agreements, deeds, notices, orders and consents)
Preparation of precedents and checklists and standard forms and the development and implementation of the organisation's corporate governance framework.
Develop and implement procedures for procurement policy and strategies.
Conduct and manage a wide ranging caseload of both straightforward and complex legal work, with a bias towards Contracts, Procurement and Partnerships.
Advise and attend partnership and other interagency meetings and case conferences as required, including provision of advice and assistance in the preparation of protocols, policies and procedures.
The candidate:
Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is preferred
Knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts is preferred
