The Opportunity
 
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to have the chance of joining a well-established UK engineering business located in Liverpool as an experienced Civil & Structural Engineer. As the Civil/Structural Engineer you will be responsible for engineering designs and assist in the production of drawings. The Senior Engineer will also mentor junior staff, supervise the production of drawings and quality check calculations.

Are you a proven Civil Structural Engineer where you have extensive experience of 2D and 3D analytical packages such as Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) and TEDDS (or a similar system)
Do you have knowledge of applicable Eurocodes for various material types.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

Develop detailed designs.
Review Geotechnical data to inform Civil and Structural decision making.
Produce calculations, drawings and design documentation.
Contribute to and lead design reviews.
Have experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
Assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects.
Analyse survey, mapping and materials testing data with computer modelling software.
Prepare and issue deliverables in line with project schedules and in accordance with Stopford SOPs.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as and when required.
Attend site surveys when required.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Preferably chartered status or prepared to work towards.
Significant experience in a design and engineering environment, preferably in Industrial/Petrochemical sectors interacting with Piping teams.
Expert knowledge of applicable Eurocodes for various material types.
Significant experience of 2D and 3D analytical packages such as Tekla Structural Designer (TSD) and TEDDS. (Experience in other packages will be considered, with a view to work in TSD environment).
Ability to work in AutoCAD and Revit will be beneficial.
Experience of mentoring or supporting the development of junior members of staff.
Skilled in Office 365 including One Drive and SharePoint with proficient use of Word and Excel.
Eligible to live and work in the UK.
Full UK/EEC driving licence.
