Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Civil CD Technician to support the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on a contract basis. The role will lead the production and coordination of high-quality civil engineering drawings and models, while supporting digital engineering, multidisciplinary design and construction delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination, management and delivery of civil engineering drawings and models
Manage CAD workloads and prioritise resources to meet project programmes and delivery objectives
Coordinate drawing production undertaken by offshore design teams
Coordinate design information across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Process engineering disciplines
Ensure designs are developed in accordance with CDM Regulations, relevant industry standards and project requirements
Support the resolution of technical queries and design clashes throughout project development
Work closely with construction teams and supply chain partners to develop practical, buildable and efficient design solutions
Mentor and support junior CAD technicians and designers where required
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in civil design, CAD coordination or civil engineering design within the water sector
Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings, models and design documentation
Experience managing CAD workloads, design resources and project priorities
Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering and digital delivery processes
Understanding of CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and relevant industry standards
Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and offshore design teams
Strong technical problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
Commitment to quality assurance, company standards and promoting a positive safety culture
