Position Overview:

The company is in search of an accomplished Senior Chartered Structural Engineer with extensive experience in structural analysis, design, and project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex structural engineering projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong technical proficiency and leadership skills. As a key member of the team, the Senior Chartered Structural Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading design efforts, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Leading the structural design and analysis of a diverse range of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional development and growth.
Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of projects within scope.
Conducting site visits and inspections to assess structural integrity and provide recommendations for remedial action as necessary.
Representing the company at client meetings, design reviews, and industry events, showcasing expertise and capabilities.

Requirements:

Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or equivalent accreditation.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design and analysis of building structures.
Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
Strong understanding of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex structural engineering projects on time and within budget.
Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
