Description:

Senior Category Manager - Grocery
14-month FTC
Slough (Head Office)

We operate a dynamic working model built on trust, choice and balance. Colleagues typically connect in person 3 days per week, as we know the best ideas and relationships grow when we collaborate side by side.
We also offer Dynamic Friday Hours, giving colleagues the opportunity to flex their time and finish early on a Friday, where the role allows.

Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for a Senior Category Manager to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

About the role

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Senior Category Manager to play a pivotal role within our Grocery channel during a key period. Reporting into the Category Leadership team, you will build trusted, insight‑led category partnerships, delivering compelling recommendations that drive category growth and increase KP Snacks’ share.

You will own core category processes for your customers, bringing clarity and direction through strong analysis, clear storytelling and commercially focused thinking. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and wider Central functions, you’ll help shape customer plans, influence in‑store execution and ensure insight sits at the heart of decision‑making.

Please note: this is not a procurement or buying role.

What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

Competitive annual salary, alongside an annual bonus scheme, with a strong track record of overachievement

£6,000 car allowance

Comprehensive healthcare support – including Medicash Health Cash Plan or Private Healthcare, Digital GP, Best Doctors second opinion service and specialist cancer care

KP Pension Plan – contribution matching up to 7% of your salary

25 days holiday, plus the option to buy more

KP4ME – our online platform for benefits, discounts, wellbeing tools and more

What will you be doing?

Building trusted category partnerships
Act as a Category Partner across the Grocery channel, using best‑in‑class insights to influence customer thinking and drive meaningful change in store

Leading range and space reviews
Deliver robust range reviews, planogram proposals and post‑evaluation, ensuring ranges are optimised, relevant and driving sustainable category and KP Snacks growth

Turning data into compelling stories
Interrogate multiple data sources, including syndicated and customer data, to create clear, actionable insights that support customer engagement and internal decision‑making

Owning category reporting and scorecards
Lead internal and external period reporting and evolve monthly scorecards to highlight performance, risks and opportunities for both category and brand growth

Supporting wider commercial plans
Play a key role in annual brand planning and account planning cycles, aligning priorities with Sales and building persuasive, customer‑ready recommendations

Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

We’re committed to inclusion
We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you – your unique perspective could be just what we need. And if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you, just let us know.

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

Significant experience in Category Management
With a proven track record of customer‑facing engagement and influencing outcomes within the grocery channel

Strong insight and storytelling capability
Able to simplify complex data into clear, compelling recommendations that drive action

Commercial confidence and credibility
Experienced at influencing stakeholders to make changes in store that deliver category growth

Collaborative working style
An inclusive team player who builds strong relationships across Sales, Marketing and Central functions

Confidence operating at pace
Comfortable owning processes, juggling priorities and delivering impact within a fixed‑term role
