Post: Senior Care Assistant

Hourly Rate: £14 weekdays / £14.50 weekends
Shift times: 8am to 8pm
Contracted Hours: 36 to 48 per week
Specializing in elderly and dementia careResponsibilities:

Oversee a team of care assistants, delegating tasks
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Administer medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules.
Monitor residents' health and well-being.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring that dietary requirements are met.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in meaningful activities and conversation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized and stored.
Collaborate with other members of the care team to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident.Requirements:

Previous experience working in a senior care or healthcare setting is required.
NVQL3 in health and social care certification (preferred).
Medication Trained
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lead a team of care assistants effectively.
Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
Flexibility to work shifts 12-hour shifts, alternate weekends, and holidays.
