Senior Care Assistant – Tavistock (Job ref – PK71557)
* 6 hours & 12 hour shifts available
* Day or Night shifts available
* £14.50ph with paid break (Equivalent to £15.82ph)
Our client in Tavistock is an established Residential Care Home which provides person-centred care for up to 20 residents in a comfortable and supportive environment. They are rated Good in all areas in their most recent CQC report and a part of a supportive, independently-owned care company.
The Care Home offers free on-site parking set in picturesque Devon countryside. They now have an exciting opportunity for Senior Care Assistants to join their passionate team of Carers and Senior Carers.
Senior Care Assistant pay rates starting at: £14.50+ per hour with Paid Breaks! (Equivalent to £15.82 with unpaid breaks)
These are full or part time, permanent roles working 6 or 12 hour shifts; 24, 36 or 48 hours per week depending on your preference. Both Day and Night shifts are available working 8-8.
Requirements of the Senior Care Assistant role:
* Senior Care Assistants with previous experience working within care as a Senior
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (Preferred but not essential)
* Previous experience of working with the elderly
* Medication training
Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:
* Administer medication
* Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants and Senior Carers
* Liaise with all visiting professionals including GPs, other healthcare professionals and families.
* Helping to run the shift, hands on supporting the floor.
