Senior Care Assistant - Winchester
Nurse Seekers are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for a compassionate and experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a residential care setting.
The successful candidate will be a caring, reliable and approachable individual with strong leadership skills and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of others.
The Role
As Senior Night Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support overnight, promoting their dignity, privacy, independence and overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing high-quality, individualised care tailored to residents’ needs and preferences.
Leading, supervising and supporting care staff throughout the night shift.
Delegating duties effectively and ensuring care tasks are completed to a high standard.
Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding promptly to their needs.
Ensuring care plans, repositioning charts and relevant documentation are accurately completed.
Supporting residents with bedtime routines, personal care, comfort and overnight refreshments.
Essential Requirements
A minimum of two years’ experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting.
A completed Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care.
A compassionate, empathetic and person-centred approach to care.
Previous experience or demonstrated ability in leading, supervising and motivating a team.
Strong organisational, delegation and problem-solving skills.
A flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to night-time care.
